WRX or STI? The STI would be closer in price range. (unless you special order a bottom line 350z, cause I havent seen any unloaded models at dealerships, theyve all been the track or touring models )

yeah, wrx would get whipped. 287hp was on the sticker for the one i saw at the local dealer. touring model i think, 18's, 6spd, oo how sweet it looked! the touring edition is not even the top of the line. sorry, both stock z car would take the cake in a lot of ways.

I test drove a 350Z... I wasnt that impressed, didnt seem as fast as it should be. I was more impressed with the WRX I test drove a day earlier (Yes, in two years I never test drove a manual WRX Shame on me!)

I've read that the 350z Hp is overrated, Stillen has one dyno'd at like 230 whp or something like that, when its advertised flywheel hp is 287, thats a lot of power loss... but don't get me wrong, the VQ engine is still a monster. Ive driven an FWD Auto I35 with the same setup and that thing hauls serious *** for a 3400 pound sedan. The torque gives it nice roll-start acceleration.

I was just @ the track two guy w/350z's niether of them could drive but I cant either and I took them apart with no engin mods the car is over rated power-wise and the brembos they use dont work as well as stock nissan braks found in a 4 door G35 sedan. Car and driver also called both @ 5.4--14.1
