1st gen diamond stars are very formidable cars. i remember in the early 90s when buschur racing was one of the first imports in the 10s w/ AWD...i myself dont think they look that bad but they dont look attractive either...but they can be a nice SLEEPER on the streets...as far as this race...your WRX will take him but it would be close...

Very nice! ahh it brings back memories although my 92 was never that nice. Mine was a little special. It was a mid production 92 which is highly sought after. If I remember correctly I think it broke down like this. I had the stronger rear end with limited slip from the older models, but the engine internals of the next model and NO ABS. It must have been something because even though I blew the motor (@#$% garage replaced timing belt, but didn't replace balance shaft belt) someone from 6 states away drove all day and all night to come and get this car. I also had several racers calling about it so they could build it up.

You had the one with the 6 bolt engine, 4 bolt rear end and no abs. Mine was actually a 91, not 92. I did a 91-92 conversion because I like the style better. Then I swapped in the 4 bolt rear end. All years had the rear lsd.

Okay, personally, I think that the GSX will pull it off. If you say he has a MBC and a N1 exhaust if he doesn't win it's gonna be REALLY close. DSMs respond REALLY well to minor mods especially a boost controller. Those 14b turbos are a very nice turbo even though they do spool alittle slow. If you guys race, tape that sh*t because I wanna see what happens.

I don't think the 14b's spool slowly at all. Definitely faster than the stock tubo on a rex. I used to have full boost on mine by 2500RPMs. Of course I had high compression pistons, P&P head, full exhaust, 2G MAF. But I also had a HUGE FMIC.

I just raced a GS-T eclipse. On the freeway and he kept up only because of the trafic but if i was to get a straight away. Id leave him way back. I have a WRX wagon. Stock with evolution mufler.
