Vancouver Lowdown...
I am interested in checking out Vancouver/BC sometime.
Won't get into all the details, but it seems like a cool, laid back place to live. Seems gorgeous, too, as far as the scenery.
I have friends in Washington and Cali, so I am going to plan a trip next year. I am even entertaining the idea of moving...
(I don't like where america's headed these days)
I am curious about things like the weather, cost of living, social attitudes, etc...
And of course, the Suby/WRX factor!
If anyone wants to give their .02cents, I'm all ears!
THANKS!
sorry to hear about the fires.......

If you've been to San Francisco or Seattle you'd know our weather is very similar to those two US cities. If you don't, well, its quite nice. Our summers aren't unusually hot (though this year its been pretty hot..and DRY! Hence the fires and water shortages), winters are mild, and it rains quite a bit in the fall and spring. But if you don't mind the rain, the Northwest is a very nice place to be.
Cost of living is somewhat high if you live in the city of Vancouver, athough not as high as say some of the comparable cities on the West Coast (like Bay Area).
Social attitude..hmm...its pretty laid back here on the West Coast. People walk slower, they drive even slower and the food is incredible. Food, shopping, lotta nature type things to do...
And since the majority of people live in the GVRD cities of Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam...you'll see quite a high number of Subarus around. Our overall numbers probably won't be as high as some parts of the US, but we're not spread out over vast areas. You're going to see an insanely high amount of high end cars here too.
