The rest of of the season is going to be rough. They've taken care of the losing teams, but Tex, Baltimore, Anaheim, etc arent going to roll over like Seattle or Boston.

I'm actually encouraged by how this series w/ SEA went, esp. against Mr. Perfect. As the A's rolled into town, the Mariners had been playing .607 ball since the All-Star break.

And yes, the green & gold have a seriously tough road ahead. But for starters, I have faith that they'll get a bit of redemption vs. the Angels and have a much better showing offensively.

Like Superglue said a couple weeks back, these next 23 games should be as exciting as the finish in the movie Major League.

Mac was moved from critical care unit & is "progressing nicely" according to A's trainer.

Funny li'l blurb fr nbcsports.com: brandon-mccarthy-is-out-of-the-icu-and-is-peeing-a-lot/
Really nice to see he's showing signs that things are moving in a positive direction.

Everything is coming up A's today.

Brandon released from the hospital and the A's continue to issue payback to the halos. Not to mention a nice road game winning streak.

Amen to all that, my brotha!

Straily pitched outta some HUGE jams early. I was wringing my hands thru the last half inning. Grant barely missed in couple spots & the Angels did the damage taking full advantage of those 1st 2 freebies. Doesn't surprise that fiery bastard was jawing w/ the ump when he got yanked. And man, Blevins came thru in such a pressure cooker of a spot!

Though I'd love to have 'em sweep Anaheim right back, the worst they needed to do was split these 4 games & they've guaranteed that. Now they've got AJ & Anderson to close out the series. I really, really like the green & gold's chances at this point.

LET'S GO OAKLAND! *clap clap clap-clap-clap*

What was really frustrating about Balfour was that the ump would not concede him the outside of the plate. Balfour continue to throw there anyway. And I don't think his "conversation" with the plate ump did Blevins any favors.

That double play seemed like it took forever to turn.

unbelievably clutch pitching and hitting in the 9th. killer save by blevins and coco's hustle for the "inside the park'er" were both huge!

It's like watching the movie Major League reenacted in real life.

No one can explain what's happening with this team, which makes it that much more fun to watch.

it's seriously ridiculous when you think that we have 4 rookie starters in our lineup Griffin, Parker, Milone, and Straily all pitching great. the most you could hope for in a lie-up this young is future team building. but they continue to surpass expectations and are stepping up big time like seasoned veterans.

Beat the Orioles at their own game. They need this series in a bad way because this will be the toughest road trip of the year. Nothing is going to come easy for the rest of the year. The A's just need to do what they do.

He's better than Sogard and is definitely a solid back up to Inge. I'm pretty comfortable with this infield lineup, even if there is a lot of platooning going on with the middle infield. The corners have been solid since Carter has pulled his head out of his ***.
