i think everyone in chair positons should make the equal wage to the states avg... that way when they **** up! they know how bad it hurts. To understand someone you have to have either come from that same back ground or be in it! I don't believe in the poeple running california because their views are skewed and twisted. I don't want someone trying to solve my problems who doesn't understand my problems!

End rant

If you consider the 'hourly' figures it's a step up. While the overall amount is less the amount per hour worked is radically more. So, in that sense it's a promotion.

Let us pretend she works 12 hours 12 times a year. That's 144 hours a year. That is $916.67/hr.

We'll pretend a senator works a full 40hr week. 2080 hours per year. That's only $83.65/hr.

I'll take the first job, please.

Yes, hourly figures are higher, but annual income is lower.

surely there are more meaningful injustices to be complaining about . 130k seems like a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of how many useless wars we fight in.

i'm no liberal but there are probably just as many, if not more, non-liberal senators who are just as, if not more, worthless and rake in as much, if not more, cash than this broad.

Every little bit helps and this lady is a waste of space. Seriously, she is insane. There is no way the people of CA should be paying this woman for anything.
