Site looks pretty good actually and their code is set up clean. However their html and css both don't validate. I'd be a lil more impressed if they had no errors in their code.

Are you kidding me?! IMHO scientists and engineers are probably the most liberal demographic when it comes to drug use. Next to investment bankers.

Also don't discount that a lot of the smartest people who end up becoming wealthy, switch over to cocaine as their drug of choice instead.

And maybe it's high school college for some people, but for those of use who overachieved in high school/college to get into Ivy Leagues, a lot of times the first drug exposure is post schooling. I have some dorm and classmates who now use regularly, who were first exposed to it post-college.

No I honestly dont see the NASA guys lighting up. I think people who smoke weed see a few people doing it and think a lot more do they just hide it. I have noticed in my time that weed smokers think every one does it and they got on their all natural kick and sermon. I bet if you polled weed smokers what percentage of the american public smoke weed they would get it over what it is.

Financial guys/ celebrities ; they go skiing ever day on the fresh powder I agree there. They arent doing the weed

I dont see bill gates and warren buffet as the new cheech and chong or doing coke.

There is no way any one went to college and never saw weed (unless you went to some crazy church college even then though ...)

I enjoy all of the "I know plenty of super smart people that do/do not....blah blah blah".

Programmers are a dime a dozen. People act like they are a super smart group. I watch them come and go through different sites all over the world.

Actual engineers who really are extremely intelligent are not going to smoke pot. They likely hold high level clearances because they work on gov't funded projects(lots of money), and get drug tested, polygraphed, etc on a regular basis.

Even upper echelon IT support is still IT support. They are mellow because it's a brain dead job.

Although I suppose we can start a name dropping contest over PM (since that really shouldn't be a public conversation) I can see we've got different viewpoints and this really will just go nowhere. Same with Paul.

We're both electrical engineers IIRC (You from Cal and me from Stanford) so let's assume the other has a certain baseline level of intelligent reasoning to justify our opinions.

Bah! That's way too logical and reasonable... you must be high!
