Yet another SPEEDING TICKET for the stack

I'm still too pissed to be talking about it. But i got yet another speeding ticket today while driving on my lunch break in the wonderful city of San Rafael. He clocked me doing 48mph in a 30 zone. He was a total a$$ and treated me like total crap. Sure that my seem fast but i was with traffic that was doing 40+ and i was passing right before a merge.

That (if i can't go to traffic school) makes "4" points on my record. Meaning i'll lose my licence.

My wife is so dissappointed with me right now and she has all the right to be.

Looks like i'll be looking for that second job even harder.

i can't really feel sympathetic for you because its your 4th ticket/point/whatever

sorry

Fight it. going 13 over isn't bad at all (unless it was in front of a school).

EDIT: I'm stupid. I thought it was 48 in 35. You still have a chance to fight it. I'd give it a shot. No harm done.

if you dont want speeding tickets dont speed. its against the law to speed so if you do then pay the consequences. or just keep a really good eye and get a radar detector and radio scanner hehe.

Most of my ticket are not speeding tickets. Just to let you al know. But yes i speed every second i'm behind the wheel of any car. I do have great eyes and keep a very good eye out. Yes i know i need a radar detector.

But right now in the fawking pissed off staight i'm in i don't need people saying negitive crap.

I figured maybe some others that may have just gotten a ticket would have a story so i wouldn't feel like i was in the boat alone.

and Max. F - U, you speed almost as much as me.

sorry to hear man. ive got a ticket in a similar way. i was going 80 in a 65 flow of traffic, and i got pulled over. i cop was somewhat of a dick, and cool at the same time. he didnt give me crap about one of my passengers not wearing his seat belt.
the worst part about it is that after i got the ticket, i go about 2 mins, and there's a traffic jam...

Fight the ticket....

If you loose you can beg the judge do to the fact that you will loose your right to drive to let you take traffice school. Judges do have the ability to look past the 18 month limits and allow you to take the school and probably will.

After that you need to drive like a 45 year old engineer.....on the dot.

It sucks when cops sit at places like that...where people often have to speed to do something like merge or pass....like police that sit at the end of a passing section....to nail people passing.....which of course are speeding in order to pass....bah.

that just sucks. cops can be really sneaky bastids when they want to give tickets. if they realy want to give you one, for whatever reason, they'll find a way.

if you dont want speeding tickets dont speed. its against the law to speed so if you do then pay the consequences
everyone speeds. don't give anyone that crap. my eighty year old grandma finds herself doing 90 in a 55 in her benz all the damn time. getting ticketed for speeding, or for any other reason short of street racing or DUI, is just part of the cost of driving on public roadways. you'd be just as hacked off as Rich is if it were you getting the ticket.

sorry to hear that. if it makes you feel any better, i got a ticket several weeks ago. i was doing 65 in a 50mph zone....can't believe i'd ever get a ticket for going 65 on a straightaway highway. anyhow, it's my 2nd one in 11 months and i plan to fight it -- might as well.

lesson learned from this: i don't speed anymore. i set that cruise control and put on some music to chill to.

I think the trick is not to exceed the flow of traffic. I don't stand out from the crowd when driving on the freeway. Even if I'm late for an appointment and even if I have to take a pez. I have to drive this way because I have a dead guy in my trunk. This is the way everyone should drive if they want to avoid getting pulled over.
