I had a middle-school teacher who had a corvette with a custom steering wheel assembly that would fold straight up to allow her to get into the cabin. She too was borderline incapable of walking. Regrettably (or maybe not) I don't have a picture.

my friend has a tuned audi A3, with a big turbo kit, and he is in a wheel chair. its all drivin by hand controls. he works on the car all the time, it is truly amazing how he does it

I remember a paraplegic guy with a very heavily modified sti that used special arm controls only around here. Haven't seen or heard of the guy though.

I remember a paraplegic cart racer that crashed one time on the track. The paramedics rushed out and he went "I can't feel my legs, I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS!!!!! But I haven't been able to for years."
