Yellow wire under the seat?

Yellow wire under the seat?

when i was clean the car the other day. I saw a yellow wire under the seat(both front). I'm wondering what does it do?

Those are the wires for the driver/passenger side impact airbags.

Although i was hoping they are pre-wiring for the heated seats =P

Side note. Any wiring with yellow split loom has to do with airbags. I learned that the hard way when airbag systems first came out, back when they didn't have to much in the way of anti falsing circuit. I was installing a remote start system in a customers 560SL and couldn't find the neutral safety switch. "Hmmm what's that pretty yellow loom" took out the box knife, split it, hit one of the wires with my probe and ended up with two broken ribs.

Great story. Pretty costly too... both money and your body.
