You do know money is everything around here. If you got the money, you CAN get away with murder. And if you're an icon/star, it makes it that much easier.

SJSharks had a dude named Dany Heatley who I believe killed someone on a DUI in Canada before coming to the Sharks. Settled with them and got away.

Now I can see if Cully was bashing gays and saying they deserve to be beaten or whatever but he simply said he doesnt do any sweet stuff and wouldnt be comfortable with gays in the locker room. Whats so wrong about that if thats the way he feels or the way he was raised. I heard the apology too and it was very fake because you can tell he doesnt feel he did anything wrong. I feel if Cully has to apologize for the way he feels then so should Ray because Im offended by all his God talk.
The main flaw between your comparison of Cullver and Lewis is, Culliver is stating negative opinions, while Lewis is putting God in a positive light. People want lovey dovey, everyone happy. Similar to "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

It's the same reason why everyone hates Westboro church. They paint everything in a bad light.

I'm honestly curious to see if even the general gay population is truly angry, or if they even care. Kind of like Gancherov said, it's some guy who seems almost illiterate stating his opinion.

Great guy this Ray Lewis, kills people, takes banned substances, rolls over on homies and then finds salvation in god. typical.
If a NFL star killed someone in my family, I'd take zero money and make sure they got the needle...

One of the victims's blood was found in the Limo Ray was riding in. Was Riding in that limo alone? Obviously that's just not enough evidence...

OJ? I dunno, the glove that was used as evidence, vetting by both sides, and pushed by the prosecution to no end was about 2-3 sizes too small to fit OJs hand. Unless you are saying that OJ wore a 2-3 size too small glove while stabbing his wife and the other guy... cause that's logical. Again, not enough evidence to PROVE he did it.

Doesn't matter what you or I think. The Law needs proof. Scientific proof.

****ty people trade the death's of their families for settlement $.

and suing is not settling. Settling means you are dropping your suit.

I don't care for his crying. He's the man that defines the LB position. but I don't care for him much.

Just looking at the facts. The family settled, Ray Lewis avoided having go through trial. So the real truth will NEVER be known, cause whatever real evidence were was is now sealed for good. Why? Because the family of that man is a POS, who traded money for his blood.

If you want to say innocent until proven guilty you have every right to. I happen to think the whole story stinks of BS.

Like you said "I don't care for his crying. He's the man that defines the LB position". How many times has the sentiment been used about athlete's or celebrities that have been all but convicted of violent crimes? Hell, look at Chris Brown. That piece of crap is more popular now than he was before he bashed his gf's face in.

I aint mad bro. I don't have to live with whatever the truth is, but he does.

I dont think you understand how lawsuits work. A non wealthy family going against a NFL athlete that makes millions a year. Who do you think will run out of money first? If it means you have to settle, so be it.

If you're a middle class family, how are you going to afford 4 years+ worth of lawyer fees?

Also plea agreements is another one of those lessor of two evils. Would you rather 3 people walk after fighting in court for a year or would you rather have 1 turn on the other 2 and somebody get some jail time?

How so? You can settle before a case goes to the judge but if it goes to court, you have a chance to not getting squat not to mention lawyer fees and then you have appeals and what not.

The case could be stuck in the system for years and if you're going up against someone with millions, your choices are limited. We've settled before for that exact reason. Would rather not waste 10k on a lawyer only to get dicked on a 5k lawsuit hence you settle.

They don't need to do any of this... We are talking about his criminal trial right? If they press charges, the state is the prosecutor, not them.

Civil suits are completely different, and only have to do with money.

What I can tell, they settled so he doesn't have to stand trial on the murder.

Otherwise, if I have it wrong, then he settled for his civil suit, which has nothing to do with his criminal suit... which can only mean that the DA never went after him, probably cause there wasn't enough evidence...
