WRX Accident Seen on HWY 120

My friend and I went up to Dodge Ridge yesterday and went snowboarding. Seriously EPIC conditions. Waist high powder between the trees, and about 50 deg. F for most of the day.

On the way home the drive down HWY 120 was going smooth until it came to a complete stop. At first we thought it was just because everyone and their mother was on the slopes yesterday. But then a ambulance and a fire truck came by us. About another 45 minutes we got up to the accident. Here are the pictures from it.

The people were airlifted in a helicopter away from the scene. I hope no one from this forums was in that WRX. It was really mangled. I wish the best for both of the drivers.

Wow ! Definitely a head-on. I've been around that area but don't remember the turn-off to Don Pedro although that area and hwy 120 is tempting for speeders.

That area of 120 is a huge speedway. Those car thou look scary. But held up very well knowing the speeds are 65+mph out there. Its not rare for 70-75+mph through that strech of road.

I hope everyone pulls thru and no one was hurt.

Looking at those cars..... Someone was way left of their lane. Those cars made contact on the rightsides. So someone missed that turn or was on cell phones or something.

I'm guessin the way the corner is and the cars rest the honda went wide crossed over the yellows, half way over the head on lane and then struck the wrx coming around the corner.
