I kind of like the Ford Transit. Saw an article about them a while ago and thought it would be a pretty sweet flying around the city vehicle.

These are cool, other than the no off road exploring part.

Yeah I read a mag article on this, the guy got 22mpg @ 75mph...though my mom's xB gets 32mpg @ 80 so...meh...

Ive always wanted a Ford Van 4x4 or Sprinter...cept they are $50,000+ which is insane.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think the Transit has a lot more interior space than the Xb. It's definitely a lot more utilitarian.

I've also secretly harbored a desire for a Ford 4x4 van for a long while.

This one's even better:

There's a badass army green one in Tahoe right around Donner Lake that I've been lusting after for a few years now.

Yeah, but they are classed as an RV so you get a tax breaks. I was on their site this morning and that is what helped me find my way to the transit in a round about way. lol.

I've been loving Transits since my first trip to Europe in '97. I was in shock that an American car company would produce such a cool vehicle and not even make it available in the U.S. Just like the Ford Focus C-Max (which I hear we will get when the next gen. Focus comes to these shores):

I've seen the Transit in person and I didn't like it, but to each their own. The dimensions are all whacky.

haha yeah by no means was i saying the xB was = but i put a Honda XR 100 inside of one. I want to strip out an xB, they are bigger than you think despite factory dimension measurements. The backseats have more legroom than the front. Too bad the new gen xB's are worthless and ugly.

Those Sportmobiles are sick. I think they go for $100,000 which is insane. When i first started looking at 4x4 vans, i thought the price was the mileage I'd rather have a full on Safari Land Rover for that price.

The other ones I always loved on my Euro visits was the Mercedes Sprinter van which we've had here for a few years now. They also use these for ambulance duty a lot these days.
