OK. I took her to ED about two wks ago. Right before tuning, Adam saw blue smoke comming out of her exhuast. I saw some smokes before. I though it was normal becuase I did turbo and turbo back at sametime. Obviously, I didn't know any better. ED did his computer thing - and he told me her engine is fine. No smoke from oil-filler too. So, apparently I had a blown turbo. I bought it used. So, there is a definetly chance that I bough a POS.

So, last Monday I installed brand new vf43 and primed it really good. Another visit to EQ. Now, no more bobbing and boost fructuation. Man! Ed could do some tuning! Each time he did his tweaking - I felt the difference. And of course, "no more smoke."
I got HFC and somewhat restrictive exhaust. Even with that, my power is looking really good and smooth.

 

Eds the man....now if I could just pin him down or some datalogging.....

i have an 03 wrx with alot of mods...im trying to get it tuned but i only have a turbo xs piggy back system..can i get it tuned like that or do i have to buy an acess port..ive been trying to use utech but its not recognizing on my laptop

gt30 turbo, bigeer injectors, up pipe down pipe, intake, hks big intercooler front mount, turbo and intercooler pipes custom rotated, short shifter, oem pistons, hks bow off vaulve, turbo timer, hks evac , some more just gotta think 72000 miles

JK. gt30 on stock ej20? I don't know if that would hold it for a long time.
I would say get a accessport from EQ tuning and have him tune it. Probably will be your best mod ever.

ya im havin so much trouble trying to get my turbo xs to work...i dont even know..but yea i know i wanna get the sti 2.5 when i save up..also new gears needed...im only on 14 pounds of boost right now and i dont know how to raise it....please help

 

You live in vacavile? Seriously, invest in cobb ap and have Ed take a look. Very short distance from Vacaville. Yeah, with 2.5 sti sb gt30 would be perfect. But with your current setup it might be a little too lagy. I'm not too sure if anyone tune with turboXS in bay area. Also, you going to need mbc or sbc.

I will probably get one of those with a built 2.5 sb in the future once this ej20gives out, but I want to get gears out of the way 1st.

 

ya..thanks where u live?? i just dont want to spend 500-600 dollars for a cobb acp when i spent 1000 for turbo xs...i might just ebay or something..
