i think the ioc is more concerned with the fact that he broke a rule that says you cant use any illegal drugs. and they are more concerned for the sake of representing the olympics and being a role model to people... that sorta thing. i can see those rules being in place especially in an organization like the ioc. definitely not performance enhancing though

IOC said his apology was accepted and enough for them to never mind it.

the comment section is very entertaining.

there needs to be a huge gathering of pro-weed and anti-weed and start a debate, lets see who'd win in the end...its obvious but those stuborn anti-marijuana folks will pop something out of their *** to argue, like legalizing weed is the end of the world.

wasnt weed banned in the 30's because of black people using them? http://blogs.salon.com/0002762/stori...naIllegal.html

It wasn't just blacks - the majority of Hispanic minorities have been smoking it for years - at one time it grew on the sides of roads in the USA and no one gave a ****.

Sears-Roebuck would take hashish and mix it with maple syrup and sell it to people as a harmless candy.

Look up the Hearst/Du Pont/Anslinger conspiracy sometime - THAT is why Cannabis sativa is illegal.

I've never even smoked a cigarette, but really don't care if others smoke either...as long as its not right next to me or in my car, house, etc. Lots of friends do it. not me though. just leave these people alone. its their lives, they deserve their freedoms.

You mean like go after people who kill, rape or rob other people?

Of course not! He just got done reading one of Hearst's headlines "New Drug Lure, Mariyunana (sic) makes dope fiends out of boys in days!"
