Wingless for about $15 (Not a FS thread)
I'm not sure if there is a post about this somewhere here but I thought I'd share this with all who are frustrated with not being able to find a trunk trade to go wingless.
Here's a list of what I used:
1 inch round vinyl stickers I got a sheet of 50 dots for $15. A bit pricey but at least it supports my local sticker shop (Graphtech) and its alot cheaper than buying a new trunk. It would have probable been cheaper if I didn't get so many done, but I figured I can use later in case the stickers get ripped or something.
Alcohol to make sure area around the holes are cleaned and will ensure maximum adhesion of the stickers. I used denatured alcohol which is like rubbing alcohol on steriods imo.
Below are before and after pics as well as the stickers I used.
What do you guys think?

I know they have alot of different color vinyl. I just don't how well the color would match. The white ones i used were about a shade brighter but not that noticable. I think if the dots were the size of a nickel instead of being 1 inch big it would have been a little better.

I use blue painters tape, and sometimes even when 2-ply it lets some water in the trunk. But I have a sleeping bag in there and it seems to not get extremely wet. Only thing I did not take out were the blue pieces since I did my taping from the inside of the trunk. Only thing now is being paranoid of some smart cop that notices i do not have a 3rd brake light But I have had my trunk wingless for 3-4 months now with no static so yay! Anyways it looks pretty good, also looks like minimal scratching from the wing oon your trunk. Mine has serious spots where paint is rubbing off, but I do not care what others think, since most people only really see my tail lights anyways

Yeh, I did that for my car a long time ago. I had an old vinyl sheet that looked like CF. I spray painted it black. I took off my wing (WRX Wing) and covered the 6 holes. Works great, blends in, doesn't leak on rain day, and I can put my WRX wing back whenever I want .

Yeah I did this with my PSM, I had some silver vinyl that was about a perfect match, just trimmed them out on the car, you gotta walk up to it to tell its there, been on there for at least 2 years
