hm... well my friend called up Vince of Omega Tint. Says the best he can offer is the i-club discount of $170. That's kinda too much. Therefore, we're going with Johnson in Sunnyvale! Thanks guys! Since we're not going with Omega Tint, those who don't want in anymore can back out. Also, I don't know how much they'll drop the price if anything if we make it way too big? I think they're trying to not lose profits of course. However, we'll see.

I been pretty busy lately…I don’t know about the whole BA, but its crazy hot here in the Tri-Valley area
Speed, i think your friend misinterpreted me....the I-Club discounts was always $160 sedan (all 5) and $180 for wagon (all 7)
when considering a group buy for window tint, one thing you guys must know about tinting is that it is a labor intensive service...its not like your typical group buy where i have 20 items thst i can discount it at a drop of a dime…if you guys just want a group buy on tint materials or paint protection films then im down….but for my services I charge $65 - $90 hr.
Here’s why tint group buy don’t work, or for me at least….
someone from other forum which will remain nameless tried and push for ultra-low tint group buy before….the majority of the group buy members never showed up due to their unknown schedules…the dude and his two friends received good *** deals never looked back, saying its not his problems, he just set it up
"Cheap is good, but QUALITY is a MUST!" there are many shop OWNER out there w/ cheap laborers working w/ cheap tints asking for cheap prices…and there are always gonna be someone out there doing it cheap or cheaper than the next guy…i don’t wanna play that game…i know my workmanship and I know what im worth …ever heard of the slogan “QUALITY ONLY AN OWNER CAN PROVIDE”?
over 250+ Subies customers/BAIC members can vow for me
stay tuned next month or next week, I might have a tint special coming

By all means, I wasn't trying to be mean or hostile towards you nor your business. I hope you know that I truly love your work and seen so many of the cars done by you that look just down right amazing. Like I personally know myself that's some grade A quality right there seriously. Lifetime warrantied at that...
My friend told me it was $170 for our group buy since we have different cars involved, however, he still told me wrong since the i-club discount is $160 for sedans and $180 for wagons. I know it's not the materials that cost a bundle, it's the labor service. It's not easy putting on tint or else we'd do it ourselves. However knowing your previous experience with group buy tinting now, I know for sure these 7 different cars previously stated at the beginning of the thread are for certain to show up. Or else, we'd kick whoever's *** who didn't promise to arrive at their appropriate time because they're messing with the tint company's business and our friendships with each other.
I know your quality is the best and there's forums beyond forums who recommend and suggest you. Vince, if there's a tint special you're willing to provide then I'll reconsider you once again. Quite frankly, I just can't afford $160 tint despite how it hurts me to know you're like the best out of all of them. Johnson tint is $125 and I've heard decent to good quality. Of course, not to your level. It's lifetime warrantied and if they screw up, then yeah, I must go through the hassle with them again. However, I'm going to take that risk, but I know I'll be satisfied cause they're reputation just doesn't mess up. Please understand that I'm trying to not kill anyone's business here.
I'm going with Johnson Tint since I'm obligated to go now due to the other 7 cars are going with them too in a group buy. I don't want to screw up their business nor my friendship with these 7 car owners. However, I feel also obligated to those i-club members who want to go with Vince's Omega Tint. If you guys want me to personally make a group buy at Vince's permission, I'll go do it despite not being part of the deal. I hope it's a little repayment for any business I may have made you lose Vince.
Once again, I'm sorry!
Steve
