^^ Lol, his car is not stock sounding or looking, trust me I know :P

I never got tint cause it attracts cops and you don't want a cop looking for "other" things to write up for either. If you really want tint, I would say 30% and be really cautious with cops around you, if you see one roll your window down, or drive the opposite way so he doesn't notice you, etc. If you're even more worried, 50%, but that isn't that noticeable, so your call.

Depending on the tint material, 35% is still fairly light where cops don't give you a second look where as the 30% I got is a little darker than I was expecting but I love the look of the darker tint.

If you want no hassle from the cops, either go with 50% or higher on the front windows or none at all.

This one with front windows down to kind of show you what it looked like before the tint:
Now THIS is how people should respond when they talk about their tint, PICS! thank you!

5% in the rear 70% on the front door windows would be my recommendation. 70 is almost unnoticable. I have 3M 5% on my back 5 windows (wagon) and 50% crystalline on the front two (specific heat rejection tint). Never been pulled over for it. Had it about a year.

I had 50% in my front windows and got pulled over for that, so yea it just all depends on the cop and your luck.

I have 15% silver mirrored tint on my rear and 38% silver mirrored tint on the sides, front and back. The slight amount of mirroring seems to "hide" the tint, it just looks like a lot of glare coming off the sides, and night driving is ok and my auto dim rearview mirror still works fine. silver tint on silver ftw.

Yeah, I mostly drive with my windows down like that in your 2nd picture so I don't think it'll be a problem.

Like you said John, I'll just roll down my windows if I spot a cop. I'll really only leave the front windshield as it is because I drive at night too so that greatly reduces my visibility.

So Robie, yours looks good considering you provided samples of what it looks like haha. That's 30% tint for back, and rear left driver and right passenger windows?

I usually just get the fronts done with 30% which is the same as most moon/sun roofs Just be careful with the Local PD and or CHP. If it is subtle most will not care about it, but if you have no front plate or exhaust or something that catches their eye the front tints will be added to your bill...I mean ticket

Yup, 30% all the way around (except front windshield). I don't remember the exact model/type of tint Vince used but its 30%. As far as night driving, it isn't that dark, I can still clearly see out thru the windows. The only time it really looks dark outside is when I drive thru neighborhoods that aren't well lit, but then I just roll down my windows enough if its too dark to see.

If you're in the fremont or san jose area, you're more than welcome to see the tint in person, just let me know. Or actually, I just saw you're in livermore. I'll be at Hacienda tonight watching iron man 2 with my buddy's company at 7 so PM me before 5 if you want to meet me to check it out before you get yours done.
