I don't get it. I try to park in areas where there are wide parking spaces or away from high traffic parking areas in parking lots but yesterday I was in a hurry and just parked the car. And guess what, a new ding. I know I gave the person next to me plenty of room but I sure it was some idiot who doesn't give a rat's @ss about anything around them and just swung the door open! This sucks. That makes ding number four and all of them have creases.
So when is the dent guy coming to UCKK next and how much does he charge per ding?

Aaron,
I checked with Thunderhill and they require a license from SCCA, PCA, NASA or one of the other car clubs to drive on their open practice days. I think their next open practice day is on October 24th.
I should take the subbie up there and put it on the track. That way if I have an offroad excursion and scratch the paint up I won't be so **** about these dings. Mean people/clueless people suck!.
I also saw a new SRT-4 in the lot. Haven't seen too many of them around. I'm surprised I haven't seen more since they are so inexpensive.

FWIW, a NASA license is the easiest to obtain, plus they aren't so ****...

Yes i agree, those damn kids and their parents don't care for other cars, and it just sucks, i myself, just try to be extra careful for my own and others. Oh yeah, i train my fiance and will advise my future son, to have this kind of respect towards others, may it be us coming out of our SUV or compact.
sorry bout your ding dude

i've been driving my suv before it was fashionable.
these days, my suv has had its share of geodesic modifications and custom pin striping by the sierra mountains.
but i still give the same common courtesy and respect for other vehicles, as i expect from others.
granted that might sound naive. but i always give people the benefit of the doubt.
that's why everyone gets a first crack to be nice and after that, the gloves come off...
yes, there are a-hole people out there. that you cannot control...
just hope you catch in the act next time...

Raazin,
Not even close to what happened to you car! People just done care about other people's property. Oh well, it's just a car.

Sorry to hear about the dings, but you're right on getting some battle scars from Thunderhill making you not care so much. I noticed a mark on my front bumper from nailing a cone at last weekends autocross and surprisingly, I wasn't at all bothered by it. In fact I thought it was kinda cool.
