The Pathfinder has been a unibody, MacPherson strut front suspended wagon since 1996 (though I know nothing of the newest ones). I had a '97 - it was a nice RWD/4WD wagon and actually did "okay" offroad. We have another AWD wagon, a 2005 Honda Pilot, which is one of the only ones I have actually experienced that's big on the inside. I feel like it's more roomy than my sister's Expedition which is a ridiculous vehicle. A friend in the UK has an Audi Q7 4.2 and that is just silly. Barely fits in a parking spot and I feel like my Justy is more roomy inside.

Not that the forester is a SUV per se, but its kind of opposite effect.

It doesnt look very big from outside but when I am driving it I feel like I am in a much bigger car. Also I can fit 1/3 cord of wood in the back and it has tons of usuable inside room, more than a 4runner.
