Why are SUV's so SMALL inside but so big OUTSIDE?

Anyone notice the standard SUV's like BMW, AUDI, Infinity, and many other have such small occupant and storage space. WHY make a car that big with so little room inside the cabins!!

Im tired of this!!!!

Kia Sorento. Lots of room. An actual usable third row (kinda). Not too big on the outside.

Not everyone is 6'6"

Not all SUV's are the same. There are so many sub levels of SUV not it's crazy. Compact, Small, Mid, Full, Gihugic.... etc.

Generally speaking... the *** ones are more roomy on the inside. Go figure.

Word... the top gear episode on it was funny as hell. Get the M version. LOL.

All those weird cross overs trip me out. Just buy a car.

I keep thinking back to the top gear test of the H1. I think Clarkson said something like there is so much space between each person that they have their own postal code. Crappy joke, but it's Clarkson. lol

It`s a pretty much a wagon, but they were smart enough to not call it a wagon. It`s interesting looking, imo.

I was driving a Panamera the other day and it's the same. Huge(for a porsche) on the outside, but if you have legs you won't fit in the backseat on the inside. I've been in some compacts that have more room.

This tends to be a german thing. Like always, the cars are over-engineered and leaves less space for the people inside.
