why does everyone trip over FWD?

Realize most every car sold nowadays is NOWHERE near tuned to the limits of their drivetrain layout. The fact that the S2000 is RWD, the fact that we are AWD doesn't say jack about capabilities. Saying the Neon sucks because it's FWD is like saying the Viper sucks because it's non-turbo, or that a Pentium 4 is better than a Mac G5 b/c it says more MHz on the cover. tsk tsk...

Integra Type R, Mazdaspeed Protege, I bet the latter with a larger turbo would give an STi a run for its money on a road course. Well I'm not sure and I don't pretend to be a racing expert, but I know both of those FWD cars pretty much wipe the track with a wrx on anything on-road except a "straight line". So think before you bash other cars for being "only good in a straight line". Against some cars, that's the only thing WE are good for.
