OK, I think it looks great, don't get me wrong.

But it retails for what, around $600? Then they have these fake ones for about $200 on eBay. I just can't imagine why someone hasn't made them from the same crappy material that GReddy made their ver7 lip - you know the stuff that cracks when you look at it? On a front lip that stuff is useless, but for a rear lip it'd be great. If shops can sell the GReddy lip for $160, I wonder what these less complicated and smaller trunk spoilers could sell for. I can't see how a replica of this sort would be 25% more than a genuine GReddy front lip. Am I missing something? Its not like the market for these is jumping either...

The replica makers had big problems with yield and fitment.

I guess they are easy to make, but hard to make right.

sure, if you can find at least 100 confirm buyers, then it will be possible. Its not hard to make. Its the tooling charges that cost a lot of money ($3k-4K) per mold.

I don't have an advertising budget. But, you do

[edit]
ok, ok , smart alec remarks aside...

Say I instamagically found 100 people, what sorta cost would everyone else be looking at? How long a wait after commiting would we be looking at?

Look, I'm just repeating what I've read. Check out http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...=mines+replica for more info. Page 5 is where the fun starts, with the quote "the first batch had some problems... only few came out good... so we are having a 2nd batch made as we speak..." from the vendor.

Lots of pissed off people there, I'm sure part of it is due to a vendor who didn't know what was up.

Still, you asked a question (which you later revealed was rhetorical) and I told you what I had heard.

Heh sorry, i though my being silly would be obvious to more than just dahveed. I wasn't complaining about what you said or you - it was just a non-directional "grunt".

Its cool mmboost, I just had my hackles raised after the response to my suggestion that KT wasn't safe for work. I guess some people have pinups calendars on their desks and they don't like the idea that we all don't work in a garage. I just hadn't taken off my flame suit yet.
