Why I think the Perrin FMIC and Blow-Through MAF suck

First off both seem to "work". But I have a TON of issues with them. I thought Perrin was supposed to be like one of the bes manufacturers for Suby after market parts. What gives?

First thing was before I installed my Perrin FMIC I was told I had the old set of cupplers. This means the one cuppler connects the turbo used to rub on the connector for the throttle body and would cut through peoples wires after x amount of miles.

So of course I couldn't buy one, I had to replace the whole kit! Oh well I wanted black instead of red anyways.

So here is the story of stuff that doesn't really fit.

Now I know what some will say when reading this. "He didn't adjust them install them correctly". I have spent hours trying to fix this stuff to no avail.

Second issues (first was the cupplers)

The Perrin Blow through MAF will wear through your top break line on your passenger side and will leak on your turbo. Fire? idk but possibly.

So it almost wore a hole through the blow through and was mm's away from brake fluidville.

Here's another nice one. This one hits the bottom of the hood and rubs both the metal off the hood, but the metal off the piping too. I tried some black gummy rubber stuff and it didn't hold. I have tried pushing it down but the two metal tubes are touching in the cuppler and w/o cutting the tube (good luck) I see no way to fix this with adjustments.

And this 4th issues is sweet. Now this is my 3rd front bumper. I am really good at taking them off and putting them on. I even cut the bumper myself for the IC opening. The IC piping comes out SO far it shoves the bumper out, even with the clip in that is located behind the foglight cover. It just won't but up. I have tried cutting the bumper on the top part behind the fog cover but it just won't fit. It looks like a Honday bumper off ebay the way it fits.....

Thanks Perrin, now my car looks like crap and it prolly would have caught fire if I didn't have my clutch go out because I would have ever takken off that blow through tube and saw the damage it was doing. Here is how I fixed it for now.

So just now this crap when you buy the FMIC and Blow through. I don't have experience with any of there other stuff so I can't say. Hopefully I am the only one with these problems.....

Oh yeah the Blow through hits the top back nipple of the turbo coolant reservoir and pinches the hose and it will eventually break if you have the plastic coolant res. So that's pretty sweet too.

I currently have that exact set up done on my car, i'm sure you'd be able to swing by and check it out and see why mine is/isn't doing the same thing yours is?

Did you follow the instructions? You are supposed to relocate the brake line junction so the pipe clears. Have you tried contacting Perrin directly about this issue too?

We've installed many of these without a single problem.

I have the full pdf if you want it.
