I'm ALWAYS freaked out when I am on a non USA flight...

Once when I was in Bosnia I was taking a flight into Croatia from Bosnia... The plane was from an unknown airline (unknown to me) from Bosnia and the pilot was Bosnian... The plane was small and propellers (which is weird since the plane was the size of a DC10, in case you don't know, roughly the same size as that plane that crashed)... I was FREAKED out the whole time that I was on the flight... It was making all these weird noises and was really rough despite the clear warm weather... That was probably one of the scariest moments of my life. I already hate flying as it is, but then to get on that flight... Man, I was acting like a 2 year old girl, sweating like crazy. Everyone was looking at me like I had the plague because I was sweating like crazy and whiter then hell... Ah, looking back I laugh, but I wasn't laughing at the time... I still have dreams about that flight and always remember it when I fly.

For the record, clear warm weather is one of the most turbulent times to fly. Sun warms the earth with no cloud cover to dampen the effect and thermals create turbulence.

The smoothest time to fly is on a bitter *** cold January morning in the midwest.
