We're both pretty stock in terms of suspension. I have lower springs (Swift) and some other little bolt ons, nothing major. When at the T-Hill I set the car's bias to rear VIA DCCD, helps get rid of a bit of understeer.
I'm driving his car just to try it out, same with him and my car. Just for fun... Then we'll start doing hot laps, whoever pulls in the fastest lap wins. We're still a couple months out though, lol. Its gonna be fun!

I have ran into a couple 370z's and they are very slow, I walked one from a 55 roll in 4th gear (no downshift). I also have ran one at sacramento raceway I wont even tell you how bad that was. I think you can do it!!!! good luck

I kinda had that idea... When him and I raced in the soaking wet (1/4 mile race) I beat him by like 8 car lengths, but I also got a REALLY good launch on him but never did he start closing the gap... It just sort of stayed the same (8 cars worth) the entire time. He blames it on rain, and you can't fault him for it as it was soaking wet. What's funny is that I was on tires that were so bald that they literally had NO tread grooves left what so ever and I still was able to launch without any crazy wheelspin (had some, not too much).
He came from the Honda world and used to have a turbo B18 hatch.

Bench racing indeed.
If you'll be at a track day together, just go out in your cars and time a few of each others' hot laps. Then switch cars and repeat. You will get the best idea this way since both of you would drive your own and each others' cars, and have results to review.
Power-wise you should be close, but it doesn't matter -- you'll both get raped by a 140hp Spec Miata with a good driver in it.

I have a similar setup but with Nitto NT01s and Tein flex CO. I did NASA TTs at Thill with a best time of 2:04 with the bypass. I've seen 350Zs there doing much slower around 2:09-2:08 range. You should have no problems with the G37S. Good luck and glad you're keeping it on the track.

Now on to a more important question... Who would win between a:
1. 2010 Subaru Impreza Hatch (standard N/A model)
OR
2. A Brand New Daewoo Lanos (lets pretend that you could find one in brand new shape)
The Lanos is so light weight that I think it could actually beat the N/A subaru hatch!
PS: WTF does "Lanos" mean anyway?
