Another thing I remember is when we raced in the rain... I instantly got a huge lead thanks to the AWD but once all the wheel spin stopped he couldn't catch me or close the gap AT ALL. Once I launched I kept slowly creeping away until we hit 1/4. It was on private prop so don't worry about it being illegal. This was a while back and my car was having some boost issues (Leaking from stock BOV).

Hahha, that did come out kinda funny... What I meant is that if his car was an auto I probably would have remembered because it's unusual, but if it was a manual I wouldn't have even thought twice about it which is why I think it's a manual. It was the day he bought his car so almost 2 years ago (he got his 2010 in 2009)

Well, honestly Dan, whoever is the better driver will most likely win. The cars are pretty close in terms of a couple websites "track test times." Yet that always entails a lot of variables(who's driving both cars, better breaking and apex's etc etc...) Sounds like you've had some good experience behind the Suby, so do us proud!

It has a 3.7-liter VQ37VHR V6 rated 328hp and 269lb torque. A pretty big improvement over the old VQ35HR from what I've read. Haven't read great things about the handling on the track in stock form though

My friend's Dad owned one, it was the 6MT G37 coupe. It hauled ***** on the freeway and tracked like an arrow, but it did lack the "oompf" of a stage 2 STi. I think all he had was a Greddy TI catback on it.

His car has leather, TV's, and all sorts of other luxurious items like electric seats and stuff so my plan is to strip the hell out of my car on the day of. Taking out everything side that I possibly can, like pass seat, spare wheel/jack and everything else I can imagine. I think Im going to have a promising lead over him on the twisty track... Our subies handle amazingly well and I'm confident to say to say that my car handles better than his, especially on a track like Thill... I drive with the DCCD to the full back position and it really does get rid of that very annoying under steer that our subies suffer from from the factory (I have upgraded rear sway, tie down bolts, rear strut brace and a couple more little things to make the car handle better... The springs and sways are the best mods I've done to the car).
His car is stock in terms of suspension except some strut bars (do nothing) and some tie down rod thing (No idea what its called or looks like), otherwise he;s stock and I really do believe that I will win by a large margin at the end of 10 laps.... I really do believe.
*Makes sure that I have my entire I/C water spray filled to the brim with ICE COLD water*

Maybe I'm not getting it, but how is this going to prove that one car is faster than the other? I can see this being who is the faster driver contest but not car.
When you or he drive the other person's car, why would either of you go all out?

Obviously the cars will be driven by their owners which does infact leave a bit of an error margin but we're both on the same level of skill when it comes to driving so it should still be a good representation of the car vs car. Of course driver skill will do a lot but that's why we're doing best of X amount of laps, etc. That way we have the best representation of times. It will def be a lap time battle rather that being on the track at the same time just for safety reasons and optimal lap times (no traffic).
