Carhartt double fronts ftw followed closely by good ol Ben Davis. ~$50 for each. Levis used to be real tough back in the day but no longer. Haven't had a set of wranglers since junior high but I remember them chafing the crap outta me. lol

ive been wearing the same pair of jeans as my "work" jeans which entail working at a tire and auto service shop and working at my families properties doing yard work, landscaping etc
i bought them from anchor blue a few years ago and only tears are from me stepping on the bottoms
maybe i dont wear them in as tough situations as you but theyve been good to me

See, I've heard Levi's are tough, so I went to get some today (tore an 18" gash in the inseam of my last decent pair of AE jeans last night) and they don't feel like they are going to be that tough. I guess it depends on the quality of denim rather than just thickness?
I found a line of jeans from Duluth Trading Co. called "ballroom" because it has extra material in the crotch so you can crouch down easier

I still have a few pairs in storage.
I do believe they transferred manufacturing to Mexico a few years ago, so your results may vary.
