Who makes the toughest jeans?
So I abuse my jeans more than a red headed stepchild. Therefore their lifespan is relatively short. The longest lasting/most comfortable brand I've tried is American Eagle, but all of their jeans have that ugly *** pre-worn look (I think theirs is the ****tiest of all the pre-worn looks).
I know there are others on here like me. I'm surprisingly active from hiking, working on the cars, to wrestling with the dogs, and need something that is t going to fall to pieces instantly.
So who has found some good jeans you can beat the **** out of?

What is your price range?
You could get some Japanese selvedge denim like Iron Hearts, their jeans are tough as nails.
Or real wranglers if you are on a budget. Not the ones sold at Mervyns though.

I've never had either of their jeans, but two hard wear pants that I love are Mountain Khakis and Carhartt.
Their pants fit me really well and are, especially in the case of Mountain Khakis, completely bomb proof.

Tommy Hilfiger (spelling?) reguler blue denim. The light blue/faded wear out so g.d. fast but the blues hold up. I work on a farm and wear my knees out the fastest(no homo). Levi's are decent too.

Yeah Carhartt pants are teh tough s***. I was (thankfully) wearing a pair while cutting up a fallen pine, bar slipped and the chainsaw hit my leg. Destroyed the pants but didn't touch me

I found a line of jeans from Duluth Trading Co. called "ballroom" because it has extra material in the crotch so you can crouch down easier

See, I've heard Levi's are tough, so I went to get some today (tore an 18" gash in the inseam of my last decent pair of AE jeans last night) and they don't feel like they are going to be that tough. I guess it depends on the quality of denim rather than just thickness?

My favorite jeans right now are Royal Robbins Nox jeans. They have some stretch to them. MOST COMFORTABLE JEANS EVER.
