here is info i posted in another thread:
4300k ~ has the most lumens, which is the brightest output

5000k starts to get blue, 6000k are bluer going to purple ish, and 8000k is purple, 10k is very very purple
4100-4500k is ideal and highly recommended
if you guys don't know what bulb to select, just look up your car here

the lowbeam bulb is what you want
my 2007 takes "H7" bulbs

if you get 55w, get the wire harness. stock halogen wiring cannot handle the load of a 55w system.
If people get 55w, they need the extra power from the wire harness hooked directly up to the battery so that their stock wiring doesn't melt. I wouldn't want peoples cars catching on fire.
If people get a plug and play HID kit and toss it into their halogen projectors, they will have a lot of extra glare and it makes it VERY unsafe for on-coming cars. We don't want to put others in harms way due to this glare. Halogen projectors spread the beam pattern all over the place, and proper HID projectors will have the correct cuttoff, which is why a retrofit is important.
Another thing about having the correct projectors is so that the beam gets projected outward correctly. A stock halogen projector spreads the beam all over, and can cause the beam to heat up the plastic in your light assembly, which can cause it to melt.
here is a very good HID faq with lots of information

4500k is about stock bulb color temp. 5000k is whiter therefore i think is better. if you are gonna get the 55w from ddm, there is gonna be a little bit of color displacement because of the higher wattage. so 5000 for 55w would be similar to 4500. i'd say get like 5500k or 6000k if you want white light. if you would like a more stock light color, then go with what you originally posted.

OEM car manufacturers equip their cars with 4100k to 4300k HID bulbs which produce the most daylight-like light output.

Thanks Rescuer! The main reason I was looking for that thread was because I knew I had mentioned what size bulb the Morettes had, but I'll be getting my car back from the shop later today, so then I can just look I'll be going with the DDM 35w's once I am ready (a few other things need to be done before hand, like brakes). The "Lifetime Warranty" is what sells me.

Yep. They compared 55w 8k's to 35w 6k's in terms of color and they are pretty close. Love em, maybe too blue for some but everyone's got their own thing

The 55w kits are RIDICULOUSLY bright! HID's in 35w form are already bright, much brighter then standard halogen bulbs of the old. The 55w's pwn the 35w versions.
The only thing is, when you mess with wattage you can really screw up your wiring harnesses. Stock halogen bulbs are 55w, and when I drove my RS I upgraded to 85w bulbs which after a while totally destroyed my wiring harness. If the stock HID harnesses are made for 35w HID kits, upgrading to 55w (hotter) has the potential to screw up your stock wiring harness which isn't fun to replace.
That's the reason I stuck with 35w HID's rather then the 55w, even though I REALLY wanted the 55W versions...
