I read a book about that. A huge solar flare that wipes out all communications and anything computer operated. That's how it feels today around santa cruz. No cc, no atm, no cell, no internet unless it's cable or land line.

mines the same way i woke up with my phone not working, didnt get much better till i got a few miles out of downtown san jose....i heard about it on the radio too but nothing too concrete just "if your phone or internet is working....everyone's service has been in and out all day today"

 

my friends have been having the same trouble all they. they live in Sc too

 

nice of them to tell people exactly wear to go and exactly how to do more damage.

I think it's crazy how much the media talks about this kind of stuff and basically gives terrorists maps to how to cripple complete cities.

 

I'm on AT&T and have full signal here in Fremont.

 

Yea I heard its southbay mainly sprint and it was a fiber cut according to them

 

What a screwed day... woke up to my son whining about no internet. Then came to work to have the whole company offline. No phones, no network, no email and people all wanting to know what I was going to do to fix it haha

Finally got network back at about 3PM. Still have no phones.

Oh yeah, my vacation is supposed to start tomorrow. First real vacation in 17 years and I end up spending the day with this crap?

 

Got no problems here....

 

No one at my work got paid today because of these fiber-optic-cutting-morons.

 

It amazes me that people are posting here online about no phone service but can't be bothered to look at a news website. They were talking about this on KTVU at 7:00 this morning
