Where's the love?

Where's the love?
It's been a month or so now and every wrx and old school rs I've waved at, all of them have never waved back or they give me this "who the hell are you?" look.
Wassupwidat? Is it not "cool" to wave anymore?

It's a different world now.
I wave at a lot of people and they seem to think that they are better than me no matter what I drive (legacy gt, obs, wrx, rs).
It's a shame but it a sign of the times. I see subarus becoming like the honda import scene. I don't like it but oh well. The only thing I can do is keep waving....maybe one of those people will wave back

Chris, Subaru is no longer considered an offbeat or weirdo or niche auto maker. With its mainstream marketing approach, it's selling a lot of cars and SUVs now. Newer buyers, in general, don't feel like they are part of a special group of car owners. They don't understand that every Subaru embodies a unique philosophy in the automotive world with its symmetrical non-transverse drivetrain, boxer engines, and full-time AWD.
I still wave if the other Subie driver makes eye contact, but I won't wave to get their attention. I get a wave back from about 1/4 of the Impreza drivers I wave to. Some just stare blankly for a couple of seconds. I've been hesitant to affix my official i-Club decals (stickers) to my car because, well, I'm just not a sticker freak. I may put them on in the near future just so that other i-Club members know they're not alone in a sea of indifferent Impreza drivers.
Anyone else have their i-Club decals displayed on their cars already??

i still get love everytime i drive my wrx. but weird thing is.. most of them are NOT from impreza owners. just a few weekends ago (i only drive my car on the weekends. and havent really driven it in 3 weeks) i was on the bay bridge and some guys in an old legacy shouted that they loved my car. maybe 2 months ago a carfull of hunniez in an accord were tellin me how much they dug the ride (and most likely the driver ) while i was waiting for the toll booth at the bay bridge.

I have the small silver decal (minus the car) just above the silver AWD decal on the rear window.
You'd have to be right on my rear fender to see it. But oh well, i think it matched the AWD sticker well.

a lot of people buy a subaru because it's a good car. most don't know or care much about i-club... Or maybe you drive during commute hours, when people just want to get to work/home.
