Blowfish Sushi on Bryant Street here in SF is really good. It might be on Brannan, I forgot. Its a really urban, chill sushi joint. The food is pretty good as well. They always play anime like Gundam on their flat screens.

house of prime ribs... (parking could be a pain, will be little over $60, need reservation, great food)
equinox... (couple of times I went parking was okay, don't remember the price, don't need reservation, but food was just so-so)
Isobuni... (parking on the street could be a pain, but there is underground parking, depends on how much and what you eat, could go over $60, great food, no reservation, but most likely wait time)

You were right the first time. It in son bryant. Awesome food, not traditional. Steeper in price, but good. Loud, and an nice bar as well. I would recommend it for an evening with a lady friend, not a night with the boys
