Some Kragen's sell Mother's clay bars, but not all of them.

Mothers sucks I would go for "clay magic". I think you can get that at pepboys.

I know mothers sucks, because you cant use regular water on the clay bar...if you do, it desolves. You have to use the supplied spray with it.

Clay magic, can be used with water. Which is better since you can use the water hose when you go over the car with the clay.

hope this helps

Dissolves like falls apart in your hand or dissolves like becomes all stiff?

I had the mothers brand and used the spray on one section...then used water on the other..in the end I found the bar to be stiff and brittle. is that what you mean.

Mothers did it did its job but I think my bar is done.

If I was looking for a off the shelf clay bar I'd go with the mothers. It does work with water. It works better with the instant detailer. The instant detailer actually helps you out when it comes to applying and removing wax and sealant

well, I didn't shop around much, I had to return an ODB code reader to kragen and all they had was mothers california clay bar, so I got that.
Sadly this was before 1WRX2NV posted about crappy mothers bar. :x

You'll be fine with the Mother's bar. It's not crap. DYAF and cut the bar in half and save a piece for later.

no, it's ok...Mothers will work and get the job done...I just think that the Magic Clay is better. Thats what I use when I detail cars, and thats what is used at detail shops that use clay bars. I havnt seen them us "mothers".

Anyway, like I said you will still be ok with it...so please dont worry, because of my earlier post.
