in campbell, they have ONROAD races, operated by this hobby shop off camden. not D&J... i dont see them listed on anything anymore.

for OFFROAD, there's a place in antioch, DELTA RC which operates their track on like a fairgrounds. nice place.

both places would race gas and electric...

I don't think the lot at your place is big enough.

On a side note, I am selling mine...

HPI RS4 Nitro
full bearings
carbon fiber everything
aluminum everything else
rebuilt shocks
2-speed transmission (2)
3 sets of wheels
muffler
Airtronics radio
servos
receiver
Trickle charger and stuff...
tons of extra parts and stuff that I can't remember...
not big enough? are u kiddin me? U on crack dude.

I use to race electric off road back in 84 thru 87 (we started the Foster City offroad track) and the parking area at the shop plus the street and the empty 20ft. container (we can all stand on it) across the parking lot is perfect for it .... Any bigger than that area and you cant see ****, I say.lol..1/4 mile straight aways dud e all the way back to the end of the court then back. wooooooooooooooooooooot !!!!

How much for all your stuff?

Hey,

First of all, gino, I wanted to tell you that if you wanted an off-road stadium truck, I have an HPI rush that's worth about $2,000 with every performance part you can buy, plus radio, starter, gallon of nitromethane, new .15CV-R O.S. Engine, etc that I'm willing to let go for $250. I'm going away to college next year to San Diego, gotta get rid of all my small toys.

Second, there are many places to race gas cars/trucks around here. The two most popular ones would be Delta R/C in Antioch, and there's also a place in San Jose (forgot the name of the shop), but they race boy gas and electrics every other Saturday I believe. Sheldons races electrics in the back lot also, but that's not what you're looking for.

If you want competitive racing, and a great track, go to Delta. The people there are great, they'll help you out if you need anything, plus there's boy off-road and on-road racing there.

rccar.com

We have a program that combines electric 1/10 sedans with nitro (gas) 1/10 sedans that runs once a month, which is the third Sunday of every month. Sometimes we run at Cambrian Plaza in SJ, but this month, we are racing at SpeedRing, which is that indoor kart racing place I think also in SJ. It's off of Great America Parkway.

Cool thing is if you are a RCCAR member, you get points for every race, and by the end of the year, you'll get trophies and stuff if you prove yourself worthy. Check them out at www.rccar.com. Their site is not updated often, so like the prevous post says, www.rcracing.com is another good place to check out schedules.

If you race electric, then you have many more options in the South Bay.

if you just want to get the feel of it and not race yet. Here in sunnyvale where I live, there are alot of tech company bldgs that are empty. particularly across from where I live. the parking lot is HUGE. whats nice is that it is also clean and smooth with no loose gravel or pebbles. I can go full throttle on my nitro and still have plenty of room. At nights I sometimes play around in my car doing slaloms.
