second dan has said he has made money on bam from all the time he spent. He has said so on here. someone even stuck up for that statement and said it was reasonable to for him to have monetary compensation since he was spending his time doing it . So your statement is false.

Doesn't matter. I planned the last 2. I actually lost some money. Over $10,000 went to charity and BAM seed money.

Daniel is just a friend of the event and an attendee like all of you.

Pretty sure it was a wash. That place was expensive to rent and we never did the kind of raffles we are doing now.

Stafford lake could have been cheaper, but turnout the 2nd year I went wasn't that strong.

Either way no organizer owes anything yo anyone.

Even still I opened a bank account this year and plan to keep good records of everything. By next year I want no personal $ from anyone going into this. I lost several hundred in 08, oh well... **** happens. We made some good money last year and it will help us get rolling this year with minimal financial impact on me or anyone else.

So id drop it man. No one is getting rich of this ish. Its totally for the love of the club.

Doing it now with Ray only makes me respect Daniel even more for what he was able to do, esp at grant park.

Bank account opened.
Paypal account created.
Contract signed (by me) and balance of rental + security deposit paid.

We are waiting for the signing of the contract by the reservations supervisor, and I will make the deposit of the current cash on hand into the account next week. Also will, by that time, have the bank account linked and verified to the paypal account.

Drafting an initial post this weekend, and hopefully getting that contract back by the weekend. Ray is ready to rock. Once we get this contract in hand, we can ramp up the preparations and get this thing going.

Thanks to everyone for the utmost patience!

Way to be.

It's nice to have found someone with a shared vision for how this thing should be set up. I think I got the ball rolling and you're definitely the right guy to take it to the next level.

And mike... if this is retirement then it's not what I had in mind. When I thought about my feet up floating in a pool I always pictured an infinity pool holding a glass of bourbon in one hand... but I got a wading pool and a picanted bud chilada....
