were are trying to keep the car repairs under 14k. replacing all four advans put us over the top,so rotas were the next option. even used factory BBS wheels are 800$ each for a certified rash free rim.

WTF.... really?

No way in hell would I downgrade wheels to keep a car from getting totaled out, or are you paying out of pocket?

That's crazy talk. I'd take my money and be on my marry way to another car. lol! $14k in damage is a lot!

I know right... They're that much used for a set.

Even the limited wheels are only about $350 a piece brand new.

14k in damage..I believe it.

this is all based off the body shops parts people. could be a load of crap but im ok with it. car has WAY to much to let it get totaled. this way i can sell it and someone will get a kickass ride. damage is 90% body(fr/rr bumper, hood, fender, rear door) hes also fixing both rocker panels, new subframe brace, whole car is getting painted to match. its going to be a new car. the only issue was the rear trailing arm got bent.they installed a new one and everything checked out to spec.

I'm surprised it isn't more than double. I thinks it's come down a little from it's peak but china and a few other countries are really eating up a a lot of metal.

Have other wheels gone up 20%? I'm mostly curious as $750 is still decent for a set of wheels...it's just the $900/950 that makes me trip out.

Even if it's a good one... it's still a knock off. (and I'm not knocking it because I'll probably be going back to Rota from Gram Lights)

My friends that have their license are usually able to get what they want.

But sometimes if its just a one time deal the company that you are purchasing from will make you spend $X,XXX.00 amount of money on their products to make it worth it for them to sell it to you at their wholesale rates.

They are in the construction business tho, so idk about car parts. Just a thought.

Retailers are usually required to have a minimum order or some sales quota. Doubt you can just get one set of wheels from them.
