Oh, no, I wasn't talking about you and Bryan specifically. I was just saying in general that a topic like this had the potential of turning into pissing matches between some people. LOL. I just feel, by all means, everyone here can spend their money whatever way they see fit and it's fun to read what people are looking forward to buying. It just gets ugly when others dictate or harshly criticize the simplest and most random things. Anyway, instead of spamming this thread with my soapbox, I'll add to the topic.

1. Memphis Audio Class D 4-channel amp - I have all the component speakers and my Rockford Punch amp is providing the power to my sub currently, this is the one major piece left on my stereo system besides minor things like a wiring kit. This isn't set in stone because I could sell the Rockford and get an Alpine PDX-5 or end up buying one of those Clarion 4-channel APX4361 amps (I hear they're similar to some Arc amps) whenever a vendor's going to ***** those out for $170 shipped. I just wanted an amp with a small footprint and clean power at a relatively reasonable budget.

2. 15.4" Macbook Pro (unibody). I'm long overdue for a new computer and my Powerbook's really showing it's age. Yes, a friggin' Powerbook G4, circa 2005. It's served me well on many projects in the past. There's so many things I can't accomplish without the power of today's standard of having a Core2Duo (or dual core) processor. So, I can't do my job of learning Adobe CS4 because it requires a C2D, which sorta puts me behind the times in my industry.

3. A 2005-2006 Infiniti G35 sedan. I really like this car. IMO, it feels more nimble and responsive than a Lexus IS (although that car ranks #2 on my list of "wants") and can be had several thousands cheaper. As much as I'd like to, I'm not going to drive my Impreza 2.5RS forever. I love that car, but there's so many conveniences I'd like to have in a newer car, let alone a luxury sports car. Call me a snob if ya want, I just want a grown up car. LOL. Also, all the car audio equipment I'd actually put in my Impreza would also easily transfer to a G35 since they have similar speaker sizes. I'd specifically want this color, pictured below or ivory pearl (white). This is a "wish list" item that won't come into fruitation for at least a year.

Ryan is right, not a pissing match in any way, form or shape.
So, how did you get so lucky to get into a conversation with Pete Brock?!?

I was at the Historics in Monterey this past weekend. We were on our way out and I stopped to buy a shirt. We didn't know we were right next to the BRE booth. So... one of my friends tells me Brock is being interviewed by Adam Carolla. We stumbled across the interview, watched them talk and after it was over I asked to take a picture with the two. Then Pete and I started chatting. He asked me what I do for a living and we ended up talking about Subaru for half an hour or so. He loves Ken Block's videos. Really amazing guy.

The timing of my "pissing match" post was so bad cuz I didn't mean for it to follow Ryan's post about Pete Brock and Datsuns. LOL.
