Whats the best small dig camera for under $400??
need to grab a camera before SEMA but dont know dick. Are the cybershots still a good deal? just want something that fits in my pocket. If anyones got one for sale lemme know too!

yeah, canon and/or nikon are the way to go......
though the canons are getting bigger in size than before. maybe because of all the added features.
my old sd230 is same size as the sd850 i just got recently.

The L-6 model anyway, I got one and while it takes OK pictures most of the time, the time it takes to wake up and become ready, then focus and actually finally get the shot off is WAY too long, like 15 seconds or so.
In my way of shooting this is totally unacceptable, if I drive up on a deer or cougar in the road I want to be able to whip out my camera and get a picture before it runs into the next county.

Split body FTW!!
Great for taking sneaky photos...as I did at the San Jose Grand Prix one year.
It also takes some excellent close-ups, and the quality is traditional Nikon.
