I wasn't baggin' on you...it just sounded funny to me.
We had a batch of **** water pumps a while ago. Dealer took them back & replaced 'em with good parts.

One thing physically damaged is gonna happen to any company. They stood by their product by offering to get me a new one quickly, but I needed my car so got a refund instead since I could get one locally for a bit more. That gives me piece of mind about their products.

OEM everything else (tensioner, idlers, waterpump, etc), but you can go Gates racing belts on your timing and accessory belts.
Make sure you always get an oem waterpump because it has a circular disk rotating the liquid instead of some cheap jagged edged sheet metal turbine inside.

You don't need a timing belt yet. It's not really until 105k.
But saying that. Belts are fine to go gates but you might as well buy OEM everything. Talk to Ryan at Stevens Creek. He was a huge help to me.
I just replaced everything but my water pump... which was probably a mistake. My water pump and timing belt were replaced not to long ago and my timing belt was in PERFECT condition. Changed it because I was in there changing all the pulleys... which had 170k on them. They needed it.
Most of our local shops will do it for around $800. I'd probably go that route if I could. Unless you have a lift it's a PITA. I had the help of a very knowledgeable friend (thanks Jeff) and it was a TON of work. If you're not totally confident I'd have someone else do it. Getting the belt perfect the first time around isn't the easiest thing in the world to do. Especially sitting on the ground.
