rubber fuel line. just split lengthwise and then wrap the AC line. then just tie-wrap...

^^ That sounds like the best idea. But for cheaper + faster I would think some electrical tape would do fine...not sure though.

I have the same strut bar and it fits fine with the sti top mount. You just need to remount the ac bracket lower on the firewall. Unbolt the bolts on the bracket and move it down. You will only be using 1 bolt but it is still secure.

yeah your writeup is the one i used to keep me from quitting. the first time i read thhrough it, i missed the part where you said to take the bar apart. thats why i was getting frustrated that it wasnt going in at all. thanks for all the help guys. BAIC rocks.

Just the perrin ones.

TheBing,

Hopefully you were able to move the ac line lower. Yes, Taking one side of the strut bar apart does help with putting it on.

hey guys, quick question before i go to work.

its not bad to wrap the AC line is it? like does it need to be in open air for it to work properly?

STIdevildog,
did you have any issues with the strutbar knocking on the AC line or anything? im kind of paranoid that it will rub or cause damage to the AC line.

Don't worry, it won't hurt it at all. You could cover the AC lines in spaghetti and it still wouldn't hurt anything.
