Cost is never an indication of quality or performance.

Listen... it's just like having 2 mufflers in line. Just now, you got the benefit of having two mufflers, in the compact size of 1 muffler.

as long as the piping is good size, the bends are smooth (DON'T HAVE TO BE MANDREL) and the muffler is straight through, this works fine!

A flowmaster flows less than this thing.

it's kind of like a reach around from your same sex best friend. Not really something you want on your car.

Buy one and put it on your car. We can compare it at the next dyno day.

455h013 - Like Gagan said, price doesn't mean quality. To many owners, especially without turbos (which help resonate the exhaust), power isn't everything and would rather not be noticed by police. I'm sure we've all seen our fair share of posts saying "F THE COPS, I GOT PULLED OVER FOR EXHAUST." Some people want to avoid it, and this helps to avoid it.

nKoan - Same as above, power isn't everything from an exhaust. I have a MRT full turbo back, it might not make the best power, but I've never been targeted by cops for my exhaust.

joltdudeuc - Thank you for more educated information

kYLEMtnCRUZr - I guess we should never buy from most vendors as a lot of them sell many "ricer" mods. So don't go to MPJ, Gruppe-S because they sell carbon fiber badges... right.... Makes a whole lot of sense to me.

Wingless Wonder - As I stated above. It's meant to increase power, but low noise is it's main priority. Also, just because a 2.5" exhaust isn't ideal for the EJ20 doesn't mean it won't produce the same amount of power from a N/A motor as any other louder exhausts for the same application. Most exhausts do almost nothing for N/A motors power-wise, so it probably gains the same amount while keeping the noise low.

I'm confused on how you guys make fun of N/A cars with loud exhausts, which are catless just like ours. The only reason why Subarus aren't as loud is the unequal length (which actually can rob power) and the turbocharger acting as a resonator. This exhaust allows the cars to be quiet and still open up the exhaust to gain power. just because it isn't ideal for 1 car doesn't mean it's not ideal for others

Oh yeah, me referring to morons was more directed towards posts like
"What the HELL kind of exhaust is that...

Don't buy it, it'll probably blow up your car."

screw you guys... I'm going to buy one next month, and have it welded into a catback.

I'll find someone to test it. I bet it will make within 5whp of any catback you can currently purchase for 5x the amount. ****ing lameass elitists

Gagan, have it tested it on an STi. The ad claims gains of 8% to 10% horsepower (over stock?). If it really flows that well, a 2.5 turbo should benefit greatly.

yeah, I'd go with a $32 ebay exhaust over a $500 name brand exhaust

Amazing how so many people say that, yet so many people are running a $100 eBay TMIC not a "name brand" one.

so why spend the money?!?!

What is SO special about "name brands" that new companies are thought of as crap?

were name brands NOT new, small companies at one time? Sure they were.'

Truth is, in about a month, and PLEASE, don't let me forget, I'll show that this "pos" muffler can be quieter, and make about the same hp...

save $400

when i was looking for an intake for my car everyone said: get a cobb... ($320)

So i thought, i could get an injen for $230...

I tried cobb first... waited 3 weeks on back order. canceled...
I tried injen... waited 4 weeks on back order. canceled...

I looked on ebay and saw a $45 obx intake (cold air). So i got it, i added a $35 k&N filter, changed the hoses out to silicone with nice clamps, changed the vacuum lines out to nice goodyear fuel lines. $135...

I then dynoed it, and now, everyone told me, it wouldn't make power, and i'd lose a butt load of tq... and I lost NO tq, and made power and tq everywhere, especially in the midrange, where i needed it most.

don't put down some of these ebay products. They work, and they are way cheaper than other solutions available.

I have an ERZ uppipe on my car. Got it on ebay over 2 years ago for $95 shipped. looks identical to the Helix uppipe, but half the cost at the time. still in the car, still working perfectly.

I wouldn't trust all ebay products, but I trust some.

Gagan, I can't wait to see the exhaust reach around. I'll make sure to take a picture.
