Easy for sure! I can't work on my car at my apartment complex (can't even wash it). The cost isn't the labor. it's 9 bucks to have it done. What cost so much is the oil. Go pick up 5 qt's of Amsoil 5-30 synth at a local store and it'll cost you a bundle.

cheers

Same here, just that I use 5W30, good stuff , by doing your own oil you can put in much better stuff for half the price.
Throw a fumoto drain valve on and it gets even easier and you don't have to worry about the little crush washer that's only good for one use. I do use oem filters from subaru because the service centers are always having 2 for one sales on them or buy 2 get one free, and they are no more expensive than fram or wix.

But , Royal Purple is my oil now(used to be Mobil 1, now I treat her to caviar)

Castrol GTX. 5W-30 most of the year and 10W-40 when valley temps get over 90. This year, I may go to 20W-50 in July.

I used to use Redline 10W-30 but since i got the rotary I only use regular dino oil (castrol 5W-30) cuz i consume it so fast I barely have do oil changes... By the time I've hit 7500 (manufacturers suggested oil change time) I've put in at least 4 or 5 quarts anyway haha... Figure i've burned away the original 5 quarts already!
