What Motor Oil do You Use?

in my old 2001 OBS engine i religiously used castrol and and even switched to high mileage right when i hit 75,000. recently ive been seeing sti's on quaker state ads and the wrx and forester are even on their bottles. should i switch to quaker from castrol?

use whatever you feel comfortable with....i use chevron or whatever other 5w-30 dino oil is on sale at kragen or costco. I change my oil every 2,500 miles or less so that works best for my budget and my sti runs fine with it.

If its synthetic and you change often you should be OK. Turbo cars put extra stress on oil, so its important to get synthetic, since they don't break down as quickly under high heat.

Mobil 1 5w-30 synthetic

And I change it every 3500-4000 miles. You don't need to change out synthetic oil as often as the dino stuff.

I used mobil 1 exclusively for 85,000 miles. Now I'm trying Amsoil.

Castrol GTX. Used to use Mobil 1 in the WRX tho. Castrol is cheap at Costco and good stuff. 10-30w in both Subys and my Celica.

Mobile 1 every 3k. I can probably go longer but old habits die hard.

i use mobil1 syn 10w-30. some people will tell it's a waste of money using synthetics and use the car for daily driving, my response... if you can afford it and be happy with it, so be it
