Moving from Santa Cruz to West San Jo must be pretty hard to handle!

growing up having "traffic" be 5-10 cars in front of you, to an ocean of cars took me about 2 years to adjust.

Now when I go back to visit my family in Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz, and Lompico I think "these roads are empty".

oh well, at least I am only a fun 25-45 minute drive from home. I love HWY 17 when it is empty. :bananen_smilies088:

I'm expecting temps will reach 110-120F this summer. All I have to say is, screw 50lbs... A/C ftmfw. :borg:

Now if we could just get the a/c to stop cycling every 5 seconds...

I didn't replace it with OEM.

The second windshield took a direct hit from a large rock off the back of a quarry truck.

The third windshield was scraped to pieces by an overzealous friend trying to clear snow off it.

Ah, I'm actually on #4 not #5. I had this one repaired though after another major rock strike.

Call a glass shop and ask them for a quote on OEM glass. you'll find it costs more then double of what PPG, or other brands cost. Trust me everyone here that has replaced their windshield's has not gone with OEM glass unless insurance was covering it.

I paid $340 OTD for my second windshield, which now has a spyder crack about 2" from the edge. it's been that way for 6+ months though without growth. Just waiting for the summer sun to crack it.

2002 wrx wagon, 110k miles, completely stock

- a/c expansion valve stuck and had to be replaced, along with condensor last year ($500).
- synchos in the manual transmission went bad and had to be replaced about 3-4 years ago, under warranty (otherwise would have been several $K).
- one of the radiator hoses blew last summer ($20)
- clutch shudder fixed under warranty
- squeaky driver seat replaced under warranty
- windshield #1 replaced when street sign fell on it during storm. fixed/replaced along with head light, and driver fender... funny how the windshield was damaged but the aluminum hood was not.
- windshield #2 is close to being replaced due to major pitting

My fuel door only opens if you latch the lever open. Still trying to figure out how to get it working normally.

Other than that, 37K miles and no issues.

130K on my car. Only major thing was the deteriorated seals which lead to oil leaking onto my headers resulting in lots of smoke and burning smell. I do have a gazillion cracks in my windshield. Most of them from the last three years in Davis.
