In regards to stupid people: there are MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY more stupid and stupider people in the world than you meet in college (who actually are smart enough to go). It's amazing how deep, wide, and pervasive human stupid stupidity can be. Go watch Idiocracy. It's a satire, duh, but what sad is how many people you meet who are just like the people in the movie; only difference being that "not so dumb people" are still holding a societal system together in the real world.
In college, it's a wierd and awesome juxtaposition of "adult freedom" without "adult responsibilities" amongst a diverse mix of reasonably intelligent people. Before college people are too young, and after college you will NEVER get this kind of situation ever again.
So if you're loathing college, you're either not doing it right, or in for a rude awaking when you graduate.
