i wanna make them a battery bank for my solar panels at home.
on a side note, i've been using optimas since like 1991. i bought them since they look cool, as part of my car stereo competing days. early on i went through a few of them since they leaked at the terminals. somewhere in the mid 90s, i went to a yellow top and i didnt know that only had a year warranty, vs the 2 years for the red.
recently, i was having issues with the red top in my toyota 4runner. i didnt realize that that was about 3.5 years into the warranty so i was able to prorate a new red one. crossing fingers...

The big problem is, they are still a lead acid battery not a gel mat battery. I won't use them unless I have to (I have one in the forester right now). Gel Mat is much better, no leaks, no worry of exploding them, and best of all you can mount them on their side.
