We're going to Wed. Night Drags at Infineon Tonight
#33
The drag strip seems to have significantly less traction under poor track conditions than regular roads. Also, remember that EVOs with similar turbos and power levels are generally making significantly less torque and have significantly more lag. This car has zero lag between gears and hits hard every time. 450-460whp and 430ft-lbs is no joke

nah its not a power difference, I sure it makes tq way earlier then a evo but your not shifting that low in the rpm's anyways so its negligible... My friends car made 620 and had no traction issues either... However you already answer my question... Seems as if its an alignment issue more then anything.. I would love to see what it would do with some decent tires and alignment(or maybe a test and tune night where they prep the track).

A 1.73 60ft but you have traction problems in 4th? BS flag
C'mon now... run a real time with a 35R (not slower then 400whp evo stock turbo times) then you won't have to make up BS excuses..

Why would he have a need to lie, and go back to palying with "400" whp stick turbo evos... Maybe on a custom dynopack put not on a mustang, the most I have seen was 380whp on e85..

Well that was fun!
11.8 @ 122mph with ZERO traction. As the track got colder, the car was wanting to spin through 4th gear! I guess its not bad for not having been to the strip in about 6 years and never having run faster than a 14 before .
Also, big congrats to Dallas for putting together a great run and hitting 12.6 @ 108mph in his stage 2 STI!
I think next time we'll try Sac raceway and see how it compares.
Thanks
