Went snowboarding yesterday...
I went to Alpine yesterday and I just have to say the conditions were unbelievable. My newbie-ish friends were able to make great proggress thanks to this trip. We had such a good time, it was worth getting up at 3AM, worth the extra $20/ticket, worth the dings in my board, worth the 3 hours for 30 miles in traffic on 80 on the way back, and absolutely worth this and this
I hope someone else made it out this weekend!

Thanks!
Its a Thule rack. Some of the parts I've had forever. The crossbars, board attachments, and bike attachments have been used on three different cars before this one. I had to buy new feet and a fit kit for the WRX, and I decided to finally get the faring. I really couldn't tell you how much it cost at this point (but I'm sure it was worth it whatever it was). Oh, and you can get it lots of places. The most recent suff I bought at Tri-City.

Yup, I heard that the fresh powder was incredible! Wish I could have gone, but my friends who went wanted to spend three nights up there...too rich for my blood when I'm trying to save for Japan/HK!
Did you happen to take any pics of the snow up there?

I too went snowboarding at Tahoe this week....Alpine was crazy as it was a storm and only four lifts were open. THe wind and snow wiping across your face, can't see two feet in front of you...oh it was a great time. The next day was Squaw in sunny weather and that was good too. I have a black WRX too and it SHOWS the dirt and snow so easily. OH and I hit a snowdrift doing a turn but NO DAMAGE!
What was open at Alpine when you went? Just the far right lift and two on the left at the bottom were open.

Yes, the conditions yesterday WERE incredible. We went to Bear Valley, and the terrain and powder was just awesome. I did see on WRX wagon on the way out. But no others. Now let me get back to nursing my sore legs.
