Nahhh MD is not bad at all. I spent 10 years there and went to school at U Maryland.

they have 94 octane at the pump.
they do not have CARB crazyness just sniffer emissions
Gas is about 30 cents per gallon less than CA.
Sales tax is like 5% not 8.75% (try to buy a car)
To register your car is every 2 years like $70-100


Weather sucks though.

Too cold and icy/snowy in the winter.
Hot and humid and it rains all the time in the summer.

For me I would love to go back since I have a ton of friends there but my company does not have positions there.
