Our company is looking for someone to design a webpage for our Company.

examples of the style we are looking for are:

www.bmwusa.com
www.gucci.com
www.armani.com
www.lamborghini.com
www.versace.com

An intimate knowledge of Flash is one of the only thing that is required, but we are looking for an ultra-classy website that has the same "feel" as the examples above. We work in stock market, so there will be some components related to displaying market info, stock prices, etc.

We would also like to have a login component to the site, so that we can provide specific information to each user, via their own "homepage"

Be prepared to pay through the NOSE for that. Most of the professionals I know that are capable of a site like that will be expecting 15K+.

Yeah, be prepared to fork out serious money without optimization in the mix.

If money is an issue and you still want flash then perhaps just a flash intro would be sufficient?

mcgower, please let me know who those designers you mentioned are, as they are EXACTLY who we are looking for!!! First and foremost we want someone that is capable, and we understand that high costs are an inherent part of dealing with that level of expertise.

The cost of the design is one of the final issues we worry about. Once we have a group of candidates that are capable of designing something to our specifications and desires, we can then factor the cost into the equation.
